The LEAP Program

LEAP, standing for Learning through Education and Play, is an after school program sponsored by the YMCA for kids in grades K-5. From 3:15 to 5:00, at Edgewood Intermediate School, student volunteers from Edgewood High School go to EIS to interact with kids and help them with their homework. “It’s good to give back to the community and help the future children who will be in our spots someday,” said senior Nathaniel Macatangay, head of the LEAP organization team.
